INTERACTION DESIGNER

Nyquist Design is looking for a talented interaction designer with strong visual and time-based media design skills for contract work in the CA Bay Area.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5+ years experience in an agency environment designing software UIs, websites, digital presentations and other interactive projects. Candidates should be self-motivated and posses strong analytical design skills. They should also demonstrate an ability to work across a range of projects, from software interfaces, to presentations, to websites. Flash prototyping and production skills are essential.

The ideal candidate should also possess the following:

* Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Art or other related field.
* Comprehensive skills working with Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task.
* Ability to introduce new design concepts & approaches.
* An understanding of the fundamentals of developing a functional user-interface, from consistent navigation to dynamic templates.
* Experience in working with all aspects of the interactive design process - from brainstorming, concepting, architecting, to development and deployment.

* Knowledge and experience with formatting HTML a plus.
* Knowledge of print design a plus.
