DESIGNER

Nyquist Design is looking for a designer to work in our Los Gatos, CA studio. We’re a thriving full-service design agency with clients including E*Trade Financial, Bell Sports and PayPal.

The interactive designer will work with the creative team to create successful design pieces. This includes interactive work across a full range of projects, from product and software interfaces to flash demos and websites.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

* Must be creative and meticulous
*

Must understand user behavior as it relates to design
*

Must possess outstanding design talent applicable to wide breadth of diverse subject matter
*

Must demonstrate superb information design abilities
*

Must exhibit fastidious and efficient production and optimization habits
*

Must have impeccable problem solving skills
*

Command of leading design software, e.g., Illustrator, Flash, and PhotoShop
*

Solid understanding of benefits and limitations of current technologies (Shockwave, Flash, Java, DHTML, CGI, etc.)
*

Intimate knowledge of HTML, understanding how comps translate to code
*

Must be self-motivated, good communicator, and comfortable with following direction
*

Must be a team player who is willing to accept full range of responsibilities and roles
*

Must be able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively
*

Must be able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

*

Have at least 5 years experience with interactive media design
*

Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Art or other related field
